Sun Launches $999 Web Services Development Platform

With Microsoft set to launch Visual Studio.Net on April 24, Sun Microsystems on Wednesday formally introduced its Web services development platform and a new Java specification designed to accelerate Web services adoption.
At the Web Services Edge East event here, Sun launched the Sun ONE Web Services Platform Developer Edition.
