The E-Gov 2003 conference showed U.S. government interest in Web services, and in a few cases, some real progress.

The E-Gov 2003 conference held last week in a steamy Washington, DC had for the first time sessions devoted exclusively to Web services. While the conference presentations show Federal agencies want to learn more about Web services, they also suggest agencies are only just getting started delivering on that potential.
