Web Service Tracks Movie Ticket Sales Using .NET Framework

The iTicket Transfer application, built using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, is installed at individual movie theaters and relies on the iAnywhere Solutions .NET data provider to access film sales statistics stored in a local SQL Anywhere Studio database.
The application then initiates a Web services interface to transfer the XML-encoded statistics to iTicket's central SQL Anywhere Studio database. Next, the XML formatted data is transferred from iTicket's central database through a Web services interface to the film distributor's database. Because the application leverages Web services technology, the companies can quickly and easily share business critical information among diverse IT infrastructures.
